The Handsome Blog- Number Eight

Here we are again. I keep on skipping days...my dearest apologies my loyal readers. haha. I'd like to say thanks to the people who have suggested Handsome Men for this blog, I promise, I will be writing about them as soon as I get through the top ten on my own list.
This next dude is a middle aged man, who I cant help but find  attractive.
Number 8- Jeffrey Dean Morgan

Now, most of you ladies will probably recognize this guy as Denny Duquette on Gray's Anatomy. He dated the blonde chick while he was dying.  BUT, I know him as John Winchester from Supernatural and as Gerard Butlers Irish bestie from P.S. I love you.
But, my favorite role of Jeffery's is something he has yet to do, and he very well may never actually do. But, I am an avid reader, my favorite books being by an author named Janet Evanovich. She writes these awesome novels about a bounty hunter named Stephanie Plum...now Stephanie Plum has been in a relationship with a cop named Joe Morelli for quite some time.. and the entire time I've been reading these books, I have imagined Jeffrey Dean Morgan to be Joe Morelli. Now, all I need to do is convince a studio to make the movie, convince Jeffrey to play Morelli, Duane Johnson as Ranger and cast myself as Stephanie Plum...and we'll be good to go. I would totally watch that.
All in all, Jeffrey is the classic "tall, dark and handsome" that everyone always talks about. He looks good with stubble, his eyes make me...as well as Hillary Swank,  look deep...deep into them.
I admire his acting choices...I mean really...it takes a certain kind of dude to almost always take parts where he dies. Maybe he's afraid of committment. Actually..that makes a bit of sense. He's 45, and has never been married.  Well, there goes a strike against him. Boo.

Anywoo- Jeffrey isnt my ideal man by any stretch of the imagination. And I feel the need to stress the point that I'm not writing this blog in hopes that one of these dudes will magically appear on my doorstep or walk up to me at a restaurant and tell me they appreciate my kind words, and then ask if I would like to go get coffee. I'm doing this because I, like a lot of other girls, find guy's attractive, and I get bored enough to write something as fun as this.

The Handsome Blog- Number Seven

Apparently I have some sort of mental block that prevents me from writing more than three days in a row, however, I guess the important thing is that I am. haha. This next dude is probably one of the most easily recogizable faces in the world. Yep, I said it. The world. His name is know EVERYWHERE. Seriously. Uganda probably knows the name. Anywhoozle. The Handsome Blog welcomes with open arms (and an open home, holla baby!) its 7th inductee,
Johnny Depp.

I honestly cant say with any sort of real certainty the first movie I saw Johnny in. It might have been Edward Scissorhands, could have been Sleepy Hollow, or Don Juan De Marco....certainly wasnt Friday the 13th...But for as long as I can remember, I just...knew who he was. He was that actor that played the odd roles, but did them so good. The guy that was so good-looking that every girl had a crush, and every guy wanted to be him.
I remember once I saw Sleepy Hollow for about the 3rd time, I really started to realize that he was alright looking (by alright I mean, OH.MY.DEAR.LORD).
Once I saw the first Pirates, I was completely hooked on the guy. I never thought I would think someone who acted so drugged/drunk/loco in la cabesa, would be so attractive...but really, there is just something about the dude.
Johnny is now 47, and better looking than ever...if I do say so myself. He lives with his long time girly-friend and two kiddos, in the south of France...Or in the island he bought.
As lame as this is, one of my favorite guilty pleasures is watching Johnny on his first ever show, 21 Jump Street. Gotta love that show.

All in all. This dude has completely got it going on. I would love to grab coffee with him and just pick his brain for a couple hours.

The Handsome Blog- Number Six

Hooray again for three days in a row. I find that its often the small victories that count the most in life. HA. Alas, I am now moving on to my first handsome british bloke (the first of many, I have a feeling. I think its the accents, not so much the grody teeth).
Anywoo, The Handsome Blog welcomes it's 6th inductee...
Hugh Laurie

Most of you probably know this strapping young man as Dr. Gregory House from the show "House"...so original.
He plays the smartass doctor at Princeton Plainsboro Hospital. He specialzes in the odd and hard to solve cases. He just so happens to be uncaring in most instances, hilarious, and a complete snot ( I mean that in the most loving sense, since I really cant get enough of this show).
Hugh has completely mastered the whole "American" accent thing, and you may have seen him in movies like Stewart Little, The Borrowers, Flight of the Phoenix, The Man In The Iron Mask, Sense and Sensibility or 101 Dalmations ( Just for the record, I find it really hard to take him seriously as a nice and caring man in any of these movies after watching him as Dr. House for so long).
Maybe it's his cane, maybe it's the smart-alleck attitude, maybe its the quick witted replies. Whatever it is, I find him nearly irresistable as an older man. I think in all actuality, I find him more attractive as House than as Hugh Laurie, but whatever.
On a completely seperate side of the spectrum here, I also think that my mind subconciously associates Hugh as looking some-what like Tom Waits, who will probably appear on this blog on a later date....just wait. Once I found out that House can sing, oh man....fuggetaboutit, stick a fork in me. I'm done. C'mon, he plays:piano, guitar, drums, harmonica and saxophone. PSHHH. Also, his record is being released in the UK May 9th. So everyone...um..fly to England and pick one up. Or since we have this fancy "internet" thing now, I suppose you could try Amazon.com and probably save yourself a few grand.

All in all. He's a total master of his art. He is one of the very few true actors that I think still exist in the entertainment business, and he has yet to ever let me down in an episode of House. I could literally watch him all day (good thing I have self control, and a job, to help prevent that from happening).

The Handsome Blog- Number Five

Thankfully I was able to find some time today before I hi-ho myself off to work to write this. Hooray for 2 days in a row. Yippee!!
So this handsome man inductee is someone who I have had a major crush on since before high school, and off and on since then...depending on how often I saw him on TV.
Handsome Man Number 5
David Boreanaz

Way back in the days of Buffy, when "cute" guys were qualified as looking like, Freddy Prinze Jr., or Nich Lachey, I always thought David B was a sultry, sexy, son of a gun. Maybe it's that smile....and those eyes. And possibly the fact that he played something as awesome as a Vampire on one of my all time favorite shows...no matter what the reasoning was. I've always thought that he was a great looking dude.
In the last several years, David has come back onto the small screen in probably one of my very favorite TV shows of all time, Bones. (if you havent seen it, GO SEE IT). David plays Special Agent Seely Booth, an FBI agent who works with an anthroplogist from the Jeffersonian. They go on cases to explore people who are dead and decomposed to just bones. David always wears goofy socks, a "cocky" belt buckle and a super sexy smile.
All in all, David has really never done anything super special for the world (well, he encourages people to go green...yay), but really, nothing too special. He's had some embarrassing moments be paraded all over the news(more like E! News) and internet, yet he's still come out of this as handsome as ever. And really, at age 41, he's still got it going on.

All I gotta say is, if I was Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and I had a super sexy vampire like Angel watching me in my room as I slept. I would be O.K. with that.

The Handsome Blog- Number Four

I'm bummed that I had to break my little streak that was going so well..three whole days! Alas, stuff always seems to come up and I wasnt able to get to writing this until right now.
With that being said, this next bloke is my all-time favorite handsome man, which made this terribly difficult to write (i'll admit, a tissue break was involved).
Without further adiou, Handsome Man Number 4,
Heath Ledger.

Believe it or not, Heath has always held a very special little place in my heart. Sure, he's great looking, sure he has that lovely Aussie accent, but it was always more than that. This guy had something special. That "something" that people work there entire lives trying to perfect, or even convince themselves that they have. But Heath had it effortlessly. In my mind, when he busted into the acting scene, he was something unlike anything ever seen before or since.
I realize it's very easy to categorize him into the "teen heart-throb" category strictly because of some of his movie choices...10 things I hate about you, A Knights Tale, Casanova...etc.
However, my favorite aspect of Heath was his ability to completely make you forget that you were watching a movie. When he was on screen, he WAS that character. He was constantly immersed in whoever he was portraying, and that made him more than a pretty face, that made him an actor, among all those other pretty faces.
I'll admit that I feel its normally very trivial and plain out lame for people to cry and be sad and lose sleep over the death's of celebrities, I mean really..you didnt know them, you never met them, you never even saw them in real life, yet here you are, calling out of work to watch the funeral on TV. My feelings toward this topic shifted when he passed. I can remember where I was, who I was with and that I needed to pull over to make sure it was true. I can honestly say that I felt as if I lost a friend. No, I didnt ever meet, see or know him. But I felt as though I did. But what I cried for more than anything, was that such a promising life was now gone. There would be no more getting to know him, or see him, and it was all lost over something so easily overlooked. His daughter would never again be able to hug her father or ride on his shoulders, and she would never get the opportunity to know him the way that she had the right to.

Heath tremendously impacted the ways that I watched movies, and the level of enjoyment that came with it. I truly do miss his contributions to the acting world, and I hope that he knew how loved and appreciated he was before he passed.

The Handsome Blog- Number Three

Mentally I'm giving myself a pat on the back for doing this three days in a row. Go Me!
Number 3 is one of my very favorite people. The drive that he has in his heart to help the children of the world is motivating. It makes me want to go along with him and his crew, and see the smiles, and hear the voices of the lives that he has helped. Simply by providing to these people something that I have over 60 pairs of, shoes.
Number 3.
Blake Mycoskie

I remember BLake way back when he was on The Amazing Race with his sister ( i think). He visited Argentina while on the show, the next year he re-visited argentina and shortly thereafter came up with the concept of Tom's shoes. The concept is simple, moved by the amount of kids living there without shoes, which prevented them from being able to attend school, he came up with the idea that he would make shoes. For every pair that was sold, he would give a pair to a child.
His idea has exploded, and Blake and his team, and volunteers go on "shoe drops" several times a year to give out thousands (were talking like, over 600,000) of pairs of shoes to kiddos.
Besides just what he does for others, Blake himself is a stud. Lets be honest. Maybe not in the traditional "tall, dark and handsome" sense...he's more "average, curly and quirky", but it works for him. His dedication to humanity makes him go from 5.5 to 12.6 instantly. Not to mention he was on one of the only reality TV shows that I absoloutely adore(d). I still want to go on that btw, anyone want to apply to be my world traveling partner? I'm being serious.
In short, Blake is an awesome guy. He took a simple idea, and actually DID something about it..and just look at the impact that its had on the world.

The Handsome Blog- Number Two

I'm happy with the way this is starting out. Here I am, second day in a row that i'm writing this. Hopefully I'll continue to be as "ON" this as I intend to be and keep writing a different one daily...or as often as I find a handsome guy =)
So without further adieu, number 2.
Taylor Lautner.

Some of you may remember him from my "My Five" note...where I so eloquently described him and his assets.
In all honesty, i'm probably going to do very much the same thing right now.

Anyways... =) my lust affair with Taylor Lautner started quite some time after all of the other women and gay men who posses at least one of the five senses, (take your pick at which) did. I was very anti-twilight for a long time, just because...really??? Vampires that SPARKLE? Sheesh..c'mon.
But one day, while babysitting with an ex boyfriend, he found out I hadnt seen Twilight, and he popped it in. I sat cross armed and pouty faced for about 15 minutes. Until I saw the dark skinned, flowey locked indian boy push his father's wheelchair on screen (aww...he's family focused..lol). Then my expression completely changed, I started leaning forward, and for some strange reason I'm fairly certain I was biting my bottom lip every time he came on screen.
Anywoo. Immediately after the first movie was over I declared that we watch New Moon...because as rumor had it...he didnt wear a shirt very much. And for once, this rumor had more than just a grain of truth to it. YIPPEE!

Anyways, in short...Taylor Lautner is beautiful. I've never been the girl that focuses on nice abs, or killer biceps.. I guess we all have an exception to the rule though. I'll admit that Taylor Lautner is mine.
I would also like to add, that if I was Taylor Swift and I dumped Taylor L. I would have written a "Pllllleeeeeaaassssseeeee take me back" song like Back to December too. Idiot. He gave you flowers, and you left  them there to die. What a cold hearted butthead.

BTW is anyone else noticing the way that he's suckling that water bottle in the first picture?? ITS GETTING HOT IN HERRR

The Handsome Blog- Number One

A while back I decided to make something called The Handsome Blog. While this is more "Note" than "Blog", it still gets my point across all the same. What I wanted to highlight as often as I could, are men that are handsome...not only in the "traditional" sense of just looks and charm, but also "handsome" because of there life work or dreams, goals and aspirations.
With that being said, it took me an unusually long time to decide on who the first should be. While I had the same guy in mind since day one, I really wanted to make sure that he was the right choice to be honored so highly, at least in my world.
So, after some serious researching and stewing, I have elected my first Handsome Man.
Anderson Cooper.

I can say honestly that he is a motivation to me, and has encouraged me to think beyond what I am just told. His work with countries such as Haiti, Rwanda, Somalia and Bosnia have opened many people's eyes to the terrors and heartache that the residents of these countries face on a daily basis, and have encouraged many people to help in ways they may have never before thought possible.

Anderson was born into a posh lifestyle, with his mother being the heiress Gloria Vanderbilt. However he wasnt satisfied with the idea of such a luxurious life. At 17, Cooper left his  lifestyle to venture through southern Africa, where he contracted malaria. It was during this trip, while traveling through such "at risk" areas, that would help to define and shape his future career.
Anderson has been steadily rising to fame throughout the years, starting around 1995. He's reported on Hurricane Katrina, 9/11, Princess Diana's funeral and many, many other tragic and ground-breaking stories.
After graduating from Yale, Cooper traveled to Myanmar with a fake press pass and a video camera. Having met with students who were protesting against the government, he sold his recorded news segments to Channel One (yes, THE Channel One that we all had to watch during school). He followed this up with a stint in Vietnam, where he studied the language for a year and recorded segments on Vietnamese culture, which also aired on Channel One. His experiences abroad took him to more war-torn areas, like Somalia, Bosnia, and Rwanda.
Anderson Cooper is a man that was born into wealth, status, guaranteed success and connections. But he chose to leave all of that behind to earn it all for himself.. and not in a way most would choose.  Its easy to see that he pours his heart and soul into his work.  He is certainly a man that I feel has earned the right to be called an amazing journalist, but above that, an amazing man.
